Event Cancelled
Next year's date and deferment/refund to be announced soon.
The Southern Arizona Roadrunners Board of Directors has been closely monitoring COVID-19 and has been in communication with health professionals, local and state government, and the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). The Board met on March 12 in a special conference to discuss the concerns surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the running and greater Southern Arizona community. We have decided to cancel or postpone all events through The Gauntlet race. Please read below for details on each event.
It was decided in the special conference that SAR will be cancelling The Gauntlet 8k Trail Race scheduled for April 4, 2020.
We will send additional emails to update the status of these events as soon as more information is available.
These decisions were not easy, but the Board and Race Director are taking this preventive measure to ensure the safety of the community that we care for so deeply. We will continue to work with local and state health officials to monitor the status of COVID-19 and will communicate updates and other important information regarding this race and other events on the SAR calendar.
We want to be clear that these cancellations and postponements are a preventive measure. We encourage everyone to exercise appropriate caution and refer you to the following websites for guidelines on minimizing your risk:
