Fine Valentine Couple’s Relay and Ramp Run Updates

Bring your sweetheart out to the Fine Valentine Couple’s Relay and Ramp Run on Sunday February 10th at 8:00 AM at Main Gate on University Ave.  Team up for the 2-person relay where each team member runs 2 miles.  No Valentine? No problem.  Grab your best running buddy and enter the “just friends” category of the relay or sign up for the 4 mile individual run.  Either way, be ready to run up some football stadium ramps. Also don’t forget the couple’s costume contest! Visit the Fine Valentine race page for more information.  You can enter online at Active.com until midnight on February 7th or in person at the Running Shop on Saturday, February 9th from 11:00 to 2:00.  Plus race day registration will be available from 6:30 to 7:30 on race morning. T-shirts with the race logo will be available to purchase race morning. They will be screen printed on-site, so your pick of color/size.  $15 for cotton tees, $20 for tech tees.

Valentine’s Day Races Updates . . .

This weekend’s race is the Fine Valentine Couple’s Relay and Open race, a low-key and (we hope) playful event that takes place at the University of Arizona and Main Gate Square. 

When and Where
SUNDAY, February 12, 2012
Registration and Number pickup: Sunday 6:30-7:30 AM at Main Gate Plaza, at 814 East University Avenue, between Euclid and Tyndall
Races Start: 8:00 AM on UA campus in front of Centennial Hall, immediately east of the UA Main Gate
Free Little Kids Race: 9:00 AM or thereabouts, at the start/finish line at the Centennial Hall area. We’ll try not to give the kids too much sugar, but no promises . . .
Race Awards and Stuff: after race, starting at about 9:15 or so.

Engagements and everything else at muscle_milk_fine_valentine_couples_relay

Main Gate, Arizona Stadium, and University Boulevard—what a nice afternoon out at the Muscle Milk Fine Valentine Couple’s Relay and Ramp Run today!  Results will be posted soon as will SAR facebook page photos, but the race director would like to extend a hearty congratulations to the many couple’s who embraced, smooched, high-fived, chicken-pecked, and kissed their way through the relay zone at the race today.  Congratulations to Cotah Rose for a great victory in the open four miler!  And special congratulations to the anonymous couple at the awards ceremony: what a great place to get engaged!!  Thanks to everyone who played and had fun—and to our sponsors, The Main Gate Merchants, Running Shop, Food Conspiracy, TMC, and of course Muscle Milk!  More to follow later in the week . . .
