Read on for unformatted information . . .
Unfortunately, we have had to make some major route changes to the October 29th TMC Get Moving Tucson A-Mountain Half-Marathon and we've been struggling with how to make the announcement.
Fortunately, we have small children who have reminded us of this Fortunately/Unfortunately format.
So let's try this:
Unfortunately, the City of Tucson has said that we cannot run the race on A-Mountain this year, due to road problems on A-Mountain caused by summer storms.
Fortunately, we've worked with Pima County to extend the course along the Loop on the Santa Cruz Riverpath.
Unfortunately, you won't have the beautiful views from the top of A-Mountain.
Fortunately, you won't bust a lung on the way up and bash your quads on the way down. The new course makes for a flat and fast race, with plenty of opportunity to crush a time and set a personal best!
Unfortunately, it may still be a bit hot on race day.
Fortunately, we have a beer garden this year!! You can snag a free cold one after the race, courtesy of AmstelXLight who is giving free beer samples to all race registrants 21-and-over.
Unfortunately, you cannot have the free beer if you are a child running the Cox Charities FitKidz Mile, free for children under 12.
Fortunately, you can have the free beer and get the race medallion if you walk or run the Tucson Lifestyle 5k Walk/Run.
Even more fortunately, you can sign up here and save money before the price increase at the end of the month!

A: Contact Randy Accetta at firstname.lastname@example.org for a registration code.
Q: I signed up for this as part of the Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown. Does this change anything?
A: No, you can still receive your final Triple Crown medallion by finishing the TMC Half Marathon or the Tucson Lifestyle 5k on race morning. Triple Crown participants can still do this event virtually, as well,
Q: If I want to walk the flat half-marathon course, can I do that?
A: We will still have an early start at 5:45 -- and we will still have the 10:30 am course and finish line closure. See the race page at www.azroadrunners.org and then contact Randy if you have additional specific questions.

A: Yes. We're working on having the TMC Half-Marathon USATF certified.

A: For now, we're keeping the same exact 5k route -- but we may have an opportunity to modify the starting line.
Q: Will you still have music on the course?
A: Yes! We expect to have a number of bands along the Santa Cruz Riverpath to keep you motivated.
We're in the process of having the new TMC Get Moving Half-Marathon course officially certified, but here is a draft of the route and the elevation chart.
