Last Week Information for TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k Night Run and Walk

1) Mail-in and early registration discount ends midnight, May 24th. After May 24th, you can still register online through midnight on May 29th; after the 24th, the race fee is $30 for everyone for the 5k (including teams), while the Children’s Mile will remain free for all.

2) Yes, you can still add team members to your team via online registration through midnight on May 29th, too!  There is no team registration after online registration closes on May 29th.

3) In-person registration and packet pick-up takes place on three separate times race weekend:

FRIDAY, May 31 6:00 – 8:00 pm: Wine and Cheese Happy Hour—join us for an enjoyable evening with registration and packet pickup at the Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell, north of Glenn.

SATURDAY, June 1
10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Registration and packet pick-up at The Running Shop (3055 North Campbell, north of Glenn)
5:00-6:30 pm: Registration and packet pick-up at the race site 200 South Sixth Avenue, in front of the Children’s Museum

2013 Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown entry extended until Friday, May 24th

Happy Hour Hobble Announced Friday Night, May 24

Need some motivation to get in a Friday run but are also craving a cold drink to celebrate the end of another work week?  Don’t worry, SAR has you covered!  Join new SAR Board members Alyssa and Diane for the first revival run of the Happy Hour Hobble on Friday, May 24th at Barrio Brewing Co. with sign-in from 6:00 - 6:15 and the social run starting at 6:30!  The night will include an easy run 2-4 mile run with friends, followed by trivia and oldest race t-shirt contest while you order up refreshments and food. Olympic Marathon Bronze Medal Winner to Speak at TMC Meet Me Downtown Night Run

Lorraine Moller, four-time Olympian and bronze medal winner in the 1992 Olympic Marathon in Barcelona, will attend the June 1 TMC Meet Me Downtown Night Run and Walk and speak with Tucson runners at the Friday Night Wine and Cheese at the Running Shop, on May 30th.  As the current President of the Arthur Lydiard Foundation, Lorraine is a sought-after public speaker on women’s running, master’s running, and Olympic-level training.  She also leads training camps and international coaching education workshops.
